A Few Words About Us

Dock Watch is a product from RJC Enterprises LLC. RJC is a company created by Roger Herzog and his 2 sons, Jason and Chad. The Herzogs have trucking in their blood. Roger and Chad represent the 2nd and 3rd generation of truckers in the family that goes back over 60 years. Roger has owned and operated Herzog Trucking, Inc. in Covington, IN, for 48 years, and Chad has been driving trucks and dispatching for 25 years. Jason was in youth and music ministry for 25 years and is currently teaching middle school band. They are a close family with Christ at the center.

Dock Watch comes from personal experience and from the idea that there has to be a better way for drivers to rest while in a loading dock but still not miss the dock light turning green.

The idea was born when Chad was delivering a late-night load. He wasn’t sure how long the unload and reload was going to take, but he needed some rest before he started his trip back home. He laid down in the bunk to hopefully get a little nap while still trying to stay aware of when the light turned green. The next thing he knew, another driver was knocking on his door telling him that he was ready to go and that the light had been green for over 45 minutes. On the trip home, he was thinking about the situation and he came to the conclusion that there has to be a better way to notify drivers when the light turns green and they are ready to get back on the road. That was the beginning of Dock Watch.

The Herzogs are very aware of the fact that the life of a trucker is not easy. Long hours on the road and away from family can cause strain both mentally and physically. Dock Watch is designed to help alleviate some of the stress and improve the life of truckers on the road.
